These
are photos of tools used by three generations of Eiermann men from Frederick
Eiermann who came to New York in 1879 at the age of 16 from the little village of Rohrbach Villingen in the
Grand Duchy of Baden (in what is now S.W. Germany). He became a carpenter
building houses in Brooklyn and Queens, he pass the business down to his son
Frederick Herman Eiermann and his Grandson Frederick George Eiermann who build
houses in Queens and Nassau Counties.
These are just some of the tools that have survived to be pass down to
Frederick Eiermann’s Great-Granddaughter and my wife Adele Grace Eiermann
Boyle
What a wonderful collection!
